FAQ

Questions about working with a recruiting agency

Straight answers for employers and job seekers, from what an agency does to what it costs.

Still have a question?

Talk to a recruiter about your role or your search. We reply within one business day.

A recruiting agency finds, screens and presents qualified candidates for an employer’s open roles. At RUS Recruiting, a specialist recruiter learns what the job needs, searches our network, interviews candidates, checks references and sends you a short list, so you only meet people who fit.

Employers pay; job seekers never do. For contract staff you pay an hourly bill rate that covers the worker’s pay and our costs. For full-time placement you pay a one-time fee, usually a percentage of first-year salary, only when you hire. Your recruiter confirms exact pricing before any work starts.

Contract professionals work with your team for a set period while employed by the agency. Contract-to-hire lets you work with someone first and hire them permanently later. Full-time placement, also called direct hire, means the candidate joins your payroll from day one and the agency is paid a placement fee.

It depends on the role and the market. For many contract roles we aim to send a first shortlist within 48 hours, while full-time and executive searches typically take two to six weeks. Your recruiter will give you a realistic timeline after the first call.

No. Our services are always free for job seekers; employers pay us when we fill their roles. Search open jobs or upload your resume, and a recruiter will contact you when a role fits your skills and goals.

We specialize in five areas: finance and accounting, technology, marketing and creative, legal, and administrative and customer support. Within each, we fill roles from entry level to leadership on contract, contract-to-hire and full-time terms.

Yes. We recruit for remote, hybrid and on-site roles, and we screen remote candidates for the communication habits, time-zone fit and self-management that distributed teams depend on.
